The First Consultation Meeting with the NDPC Steering Committee and Board of Experts on Northern Dimension Mobility Scheme took place on 18 February 2022.
In Spring 2021 Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC) jointly with EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) commissioned On the Move (OTM) to produce a Mapping Study and Report: mobility and collaboration funding for the cultural and creative industries sector in Northern Dimension Area. The report provides an analysis of the context of cultural mobility in the Northern Dimension countries, of the needs of culture and creative professionals, and of the strengths and weaknesses of existing regional cultural mobility schemes, including in light of COVID-19 restrictions and their impact on existing programs. Additionally, the report provides recommendations for a regional mobility scheme for artists and culture professionals from the Culture and Creative Industries to be launched by the NDPC in May 2022.
At the meeting experts discussed the findings of the report and key parameters for launching the ND Mobility Scheme. The session was facilitated by the NDPC Secretariat online. Irina Kizilova, Deputy Director of the Institute for Cultural Programs and the expert of NDPC and EUNIC, took an active part in the Northern Dimension Mobility Grants First Brainstorm Meeting.
The initial planning and suggestions for launching the ND Mobility Scheme was suggested:
- ND Mobility Pilot scheme in May 2022
- The ND Mobility and Collaboration Grants to be launched in February 2023.
